Mui Wo is a rural town on the eastern coast of Lantau Island in Hong Kong.
You will find plenty of bikes here plus there are plenty of bike trails to explore around this town
Continue past the Cooked Food Market to reach the promenade that runs along the Silvermine Bay towards Silvermine Bay Beach. Look at this view.
Here you can see the Man Mo Temple. It was built in 1958 and has origins in the Ming Dynasty. Although small in size, it has its own charm, complete with gorgeous artworks.
One of the biggest attractions in the area is the waterfall. The Silvermine Bay Waterfall is one of the most easily accessible waterfalls in Hong Kong.
I found the town very green, everywhere I walked I found organic farms. This local organic farm produces a wide range of fruits and veggies which are available for purchase either at the farm itself.
Mui Wo is located on Silvermine Bay, so named for the silver mines that were once worked along the Silver River which flows through the village. So this town is home for 5,485 people.
This is Silvermine Bay Beach in Mui Wo is a long and relatively clean beach. Views of the sea are amazing!
The town offers visitors a lovely beach, a beautiful waterfall and cave, great restaurants, and a few hikes.
